Katherine Heigl recently spoke out about being raised living in "a white bubble." She also shares how that realization has affected her parenting of adopted children who are multi-racial. In an interview, she spoke about the "Firefly Lane" and "Grey's Anatomy" actress admitted that her appearance didn't concern her. But after having a conversation with her adoptive sister from South Korea about how society had treated them, she was conscious of the differences the two were. I asked Meg if when she was she was out with her parents she received a certain treatment and when out alone, she was treated with a totally different one. Meg replied, "Oh, sure, I was treated the same way all the times! Heigl explained to Parents: "That was when I realized that my naivety had caused me to feel." Her anger grew at the time, and chose to use that anger to assist her daughters who were adopted by her. Heigl as well as her long-time husband -- singer Josh Kelley -- have four-year-old son Joshua Bishop Kelley, Joshua Bishop Kelley, Jr. They have took in Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8), who is black in 2009.
