Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson was an American actor best famous for playing Buffy Summers, in the cult movie Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Other notable roles are Rebecca Becky Granger from the telefilm Nightingales and the brief-lived NBC show with the similar name. Erica Paget played Early Edition in CBS and Marlowe Viccellio starred in Psych. A native of California, Swanson was interested in acting since she was young. Her acting career began through a variety of commercials. She debuted on television in an NBCs It's Your Move sitcom episode that aired in 1984. The actress made her debut on the big screen in romance comedy Pretty in Pink. Swan is most well-known for her blonde hair and the breathless voice that she employs. In recent years she has moved on to performing in the role of secondary characters. In 1989she was awarded the Young Artist Award for Best Young Actress in a Horror or Mystery Motion Picture for Flowers in the Attic.
