Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej or now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first person in history to achieve a score of 10 in competing in the Olympics. Bela Karrolyi is a Romanian gymnastics teacher who later became the coach for Comaneci, first discovered Comaneci when she was just six years old. The first time she competed at the junior national championships in 1969 and finished 13th. She took the title in 1970. In 1972, during an event for communist-controlled countries' junior athletes prior to the Olympics, she won three medals of gold. After that, in 1973 and 1974, she became the all-around junior champ. When she competed for the first time at a senior level Lyudmila Turkishcheva, a Russian athlete, won five gold medals, as well being awarded a silver. She took home the American Cup in New York City in 1976, becoming the first female to do a reverse double salto, which is an unmounting from uneven parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her journey in the entertainment business began during her teens, when she began performing as a figure skater alongside her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the touring entertainment show called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol was a part of the world of entertainment as a teenager. The path she took to success began with her joining Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling spectacle of entertainment. The show featured stage-moving ice-skating performance.
